CandelTronics was founded in 1988 by Salvatore (Sam) Candeloro. Hard working, persistent and an a real innovator, Sam is a true reflection of the American Spirit. A former remodeler and property manager, Sam is the product of a hard working Italian family. No matter what Sam did, he totally immersed himself in his work, always giving his employers more than one hundred percent.
It was little more than seven years ago, while blindly groping into a wall, hoping to fish out the right electrical cables that he said to himself "there must be an easier way!"
Necessity is indeed the mother of invention. It wasn't long before Sam's need to find an easier way turned into a full time obsession. He wanted to create a simple and inexpensive way for homeowners to add electrical outlets without having to call an electrician. His other concern was electrical extension cords. From experience, Sam knew those who could not afford to put in extra outlets, solved their problem by using extension cords. He also knew overloaded electrical cords were a major cause of house fires. He wanted to eliminate this hazard.
Sam spent the next seven years developing and perfecting a fully modular, wireless system called "EXTENDIT".
CandelTronics' new EXTENDIT Systems is one of the most revolutionary ideas of the century. While surface raceway systems have been in existence for a while, they still require wiring. The fact is, they are nothing more than the old conduit system in a different shape.
